Sequoyah School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, or family structure in the administration of its educational, personnel or admissions policies, financial aid programs, or other school-administered programs.
We look forward to getting to know you during the application process!
Step 1:
Interest Form
Complete an online interest form to join our email list. Our family portal will generate an email for you to set up a log-in.
Step 2:
Apply Online
Click the link below to begin the online application, using your log-in information sent by email after your interest form is processed.
Follow the application checklist steps when applying. K-8 applications should be filled out by a parent/guardian; 7th and 8th grade applicants also have a student section to complete.
Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old prior to September 1 in order to apply for consideration.
Step 3:
Student Records
Applicants for grades 2 through 8 may submit a school records release form to your current school to request that an official transcript be sent to Sequoyah School. Transcripts may be mailed, emailed to
k-8admissions@sequoyahschool.org, or uploaded directly into the application by the school registrar. Parents/guardians of Kindergarten and 1st grade applicants do not need to submit school records.
Step 4:
Recommendation Forms
All applicants will need to obtain online teacher recommendation forms. From this step in the applicant checklist, email the student’s teacher/s through our portal to request that they fill out the online form.
Step 5:
Interviews
Kindergarten Parent/Guardian Interviews
Once the application has been submitted, Kindergarten applicant parents/guardians will be contacted to schedule an interview with Sequoyah’s Director of Admissions. Applicant families should attend an information session prior to the interview.
Parents/guardians of applicants for grades 1 through 8 are interviewed only on a space available basis.
Indexed Tuition
Sequoyah School offers a financial program that allows families to pay a tuition level based on your financial means. Applicants planning to apply for Sequoyah’s indexed tuition program should do so at the same time they apply for admission.
Visit Tuition and Fees for more details and how to apply for consideration.
Big feelings.
“If we didn’t have feelings, our life wouldn’t be fun!” Students in one of our two K/1 classes recall learning about feelings and emotions.
Social-emotional learning at Sequoyah starts with the youngest students and is developmentally woven throughout the K-12 curriculum.
Valuing differences.
“Two puzzle pieces that fit together aren’t the same. They’re different. But they fit together.” Sequoyah junior high school students share about the value of differences in their lives and the world around them.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are founding values of the school and are integral to all stages of K-12 teaching and learning.
